How about that, is Rowan Atkinson an atheist? He spent some time with the Anglican clergy saying

So many of the clerics that I've met, particularly the Church of England clerics, are people of such extraordinary smugness and arrogance and conceitedness who are extraordinarily presumptuous about the significance of their position in society.

Rowan Atkinson was raised in the Church of England, an Anglican/Episcopalian denomination.So, he is not a Muslim, Hindu or Buddhist. He might be Christian or Catholic. Or ... atheist? (still curious) Well, we're talking about a witty actor who freely mocked religion when acting as Mr. Bean. Who also condemned the clergy of the Church of England and made atheist overtures.

So, what's the conclusion? Apart from the religious point of view, there's a point to be underlined here that life is not a joke. When you think you are an adult, and has become intellectually responsible gentleman, you can do anything to amuse people because you are good at it. The question of is Rowan Atkinson an atheist is also applied to Jim Carey or Morgan Freeman atheist who made God far from being compare in movies. 

Anybody either with religion and without religion are quite often trapped by their intellectual guts. Sometimes one doesn't mean to convert from his religion to atheism, but one is unaware he does it. He can even create a new religion instead of converting to the available one. If Rowan Atkinson is an atheist, that's not the point of triggering a conflict of like and dislike. Is Rowan Atkinson A Muslim?

If you believe Rowan Atkinson is a Muslim, by now or after this, perhaps, you are starting searching for some other celebrities to convert to Islam. Some people fear that more and more public figures or celebrities converting, some just don't give a care and the rest think it's a blessing. Apart from this, it's not too important whether to believe or no something regarded as a hoax or spoof or whatever.

The fear mostly comes from the ill-informed images of Islam generally claimed as the religion of terrorism. It is reasonable especially after the Sept 11 tragedy. They might afraid that there will be no more laughable Mr. Bean as Rowan Atkinson converts to Islam and soon will keep conservative thought, afterwards. While those skeptics are of atheist and agnostic who are sick of seeing such worries and the deceit Muslims happen to be an awe of such news.

What becomes a concern that this will trigger interfaith conflict. There are hundred comments on a blog discussing about it, and all biased, turning to online war among people with religion and those without faith.

The answer of the question to whether Rowan Atkinson is now a Muslim or no is easy, you don't have to search for some stupid reasons why people would like to convert. You just notice what he's up to in his daily life. If he performs five-time daily prayer, sure he is. That's the pillar of the religion. If he covers by making fun of life, well, only God knows.
